Mercury in Scorpio will not rest until the very root of a matter is exposed. It challenges us to seek out hidden agendas and obscured facts, resisting the misdirections cast by those who prefer we (or they) remain in the dark. When retrograde, this Mercury pursues truths so profoundly obscured...

In the dark of this moon we can experience a deepened sense of our innate power as we contemplate the strength that lies at our core: the unyielding life-force shared with all beings everywhere. In the weeks to come we can nurture and nourish this connection to our sovereign self...

Each of us has our own beliefs about receiving spiritual help. I interchange the terms guides and intuition, for they are intimately connected. But whether we attribute the guidance we receive to angels or our own intuitive powers, we cannot hear it if we do not slow down and listen. Listening, really listening, is a holy experience.

Once we've developed a relationship with our own inner teacher and guide, we have access to an unerring source of clarity, wisdom, and direction, right inside us at all times!

One of the concepts that has proved most useful to readers—and, in all honesty, to ourselves personally as we developed the book—is learning how to enhance the capacity to move into the right part of ourselves for any given situation. To achieve and remain in good mental health, we need to learn how to be “in the right mind at the right time.”

We are living in unprecedented times. Times which demand the calling forth of qualities to match the gravity of this moment. As an astrologer, this means an unflinching sense of integrity in the face of current challenges, and a willingness to question the dominant narrative.

What’s the difference between dreams, visions and fully fledged Out-of-Body Experiences? Can we chalk it all up to imagination? Is there any empirical data that suggests we can actually “move” outside our bodies while fully conscious? If so, what actually “moves?”

It is commonly agreed that the Chinese lunar calendar and its animals coincide generally with the Western astrology Sun signs. In making this correlation from the Sun signs to the animals, I used the meridians and their emotions as they related to the animals on the Time of Day Wheel as the criteria and found that this worked out best.

It can be difficult for some people to step outside their comfort zone -- for me that is definitely the case. Who doesn’t like their comfort? But nothing beautiful ever grows in these surroundings.

This black moon – the second of two new moons in the same zodiac sign – arrives at a time of immense change and uncertainty the world over. In Cancer, the sign of true family, it reminds us that we cannot and do not live apart from others, no matter how isolated our existence may at first appear.

The need fulfillment process within relationship and the possible introduction of intimacy come down to the bare but enormously challenging truth: I can only be intimate with someone when I can be myself without fear. Individual self-respect and confidence -- with no fear of reprisal from the other person -- allow intimacy to begin with the other individual in the relationship.

The final of three eclipses, this lunar eclipse in Capricorn begins a process of emotional repatterning in response to events and experiences over the past month. This eclipse is about the reclamation of independence and its energy is best used supporting each other to that end.

The rational mind can only point to probable solutions. Intuition will supply you with clear answers.

When we have a solar eclipse sandwiched between two lunar eclipses like this one, we often see a process of emotional upheaval and purging triggered by the first lunar eclipse, followed by a time of radical action and significant events at the solar eclipse, followed by a period of emotional repatterning and transformation...

This lunar eclipse raises the issue of dependence and conditioning. In Sagittarius, it potentises the transfer of power away from the expert elite triggered by the North Node’s arrival in Gemini last month. Against the backdrop of recent unprecedented...

Opposite astrological signs present great learning opportunities because they embody opposite qualities. People with opposite signs, particularly the Sun sign, can help us fulfill our life purpose by helping us become aware of opposite qualities we may lack. By incorporating some of these opposite qualities, we can achieve a...

Jung reminded us that what is good is not always beautiful, and what is beautiful is not always good. The paradox requires us to reconsider that what had previously been deemed negative could potentially be positive, including that which remains a mystery.

In these past weeks, we as a human species have had our lives and “business as usual” worlds dramatically altered. During this time, I have been listening deeply, moving back and forth between my human perspective and reality, and spending time daily in connection with the deep wisdom of...

The North Node always points us in the direction of progress and fulfilment, revealing how to more deeply and fully occupy our humanity. It’s our guide into a bright future, but demands the sacrifice of familiarity for a more satisfying but challenging way.

Although no one can say for certain what dreams are, where they come from, or even why we have them, there's no doubt that they are important to the quality of our lives. Even people who claim not to dream (they just don't remember their dreams) are in some subtle way affected by their dreams, if only as an unexplainable...

General interest in astrology has increased dramatically over the past decades. People from all walks of life, including heads of state, actors, business people, and yoga students consult astrologers. Frequently, people seek astrologers when they are undergoing a personal crisis.

When embroiled in the midst of a crisis, the longer view can sometimes help. Reflecting on how we got here, where we want to get to and how we can do so, gives both context and meaning to our current trials. It transforms us from the victim of fate to...
